Mounties in Burnaby use social media to warn would-be speeders

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — Burnaby RCMP took to social media Saturday to warn would-be speeders of the consequences.
Mounties stopped one car near Burnaby Mountain for going more than 130 km/h per hour in a 60 km/h zone.
This afternoon we stopped this car doing 132 km/hr up Burnaby Mtn in the 60 km/hr zone. The driver believed they were only doing 80 km/hr and just trying to deliver food. The driver recieved a $483 VT and their vehicle was impounded, let this be a reminder to #SlowDown pic.twitter.com/TQZKy7KbfT

The driver’s apparent rush to deliver food cost almost $500 and the car was impounded.
Just a few hours later near the same spot, a driver was caught going more than twice the speedlimit.

This driver also had their ride impounded and was slapped with a hefty fine.
