VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — An odd call for some Vancouver Police officers on the city’s Downtown Eastside.
Chief Adam Palmer said in a tweet, police were called to deal with a man with a machete at Oppenheimer Park Friday afternoon.

Upon arrival, police found more than just a single weapon.
Palmer said officers discovered one of two machetes, as well as four replica handguns, an axe, a club with nails in it, and an eight-foot-long boa constrictor.
It’s unclear how the snake wound up in the park and who was taking care of it.
There’s no word yet on arrests or charges.
