VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Aquabus will be back in business Friday.

The small ferries on False Creek haven’t operated since mid-March.

Jake Pratt, with Aquabus, said passengers will have more space than usual due to pandemic safety guidelines.

“We’re going to be utilizing our larger, 20- to 30-platform ferries, but we’ve reduced our seating capacity to 80 per cent,” he said.

That means only six people will be allowed on an Aquabus at one time, and one person per bench.

Aquabus will also be reducing its hours of operation.
