One person killed in Surrey hit-and-run

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – A person has been killed in a hit-and-run in Surrey’s Bridgeview neighbourhood.

Mounties were made aware of “an unconscious man in the middle” of the road in the area of 115 Avenue and 132 Street around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

“Despite all efforts to save the man’s life, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision,” a release reads.

The area remains taped off and police are expected to be on scene for several hours.
