Man shot during dispute in Whalley

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — One man was taken to hospital Tuesday after being shot during a dispute in Whalley, according to police.

Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence near Kwantlen Park secondary at around 8:30 a.m. Officers located two men leaving the home.

“One of the men was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital,” says a release from Surrey RCMP.

Investigators are looking for a third man who they believe is linked to the disturbance, but left before police arrived.

“The initial indications are that this incident was a dispute between parties known to one another. The location, and when the injured man was shot is still under investigation,” says police.

The public is not at risk, according to RCMP.
