Burnaby RCMP arrest man facing 15 domestic, sexual assault charges after six month search

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — A man wanted by police on 15 charges, including sexual assault and unlawful confinement, was found in White Rock Wednesday after a six-month search.

Burnaby RCMP asked for help locating Jack Lincoln Kelley when he was the subject of two Canada-wide warrants, and one B.C.-wide warrant back in February.

At that time police warned the public not to approach Kelley, and informed them that his court conditions prohibited him from living “in an intimate relationship with any female person.”

Wednesday’s arrest was a joint effort by Burnaby RCMP’s Domestic Violence Unit, Investigative Support Team, and Serious Crimes Unit.

What we are seeing today is the culmination of six-months of demanding investigative work that I am incredibly proud of, wrote Chief Superintendent Deanne Burleigh in a release.

This was an investigative effort that involved officers and staff from units’ right across our detachment and it is their diligence, persistence, cohesion, and hard work that has led to this man being off the streets and facing serious charges.

The charges the 34-year-old is facing include uttering threats, assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault, and assault.
