East Vancouver double homicide suspect arrested, charged

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the suspected double homicide on Tuesday in East Vancouver.
Joseph Holland has been charged with two counts of second degree murder, as well as one count of attempted murder, police say.
He remains in custody.
According to Vancouver Police, Holland was arrested on Wednesday in Harrison Hot Springs by the RCMP.

The victims of Tuesday’s shootings have been identified as 72-year-old Dennis Wragg and 68-year-old Paul Tonks. Police were called to the area of Commercial Drive and East 11th Avenue just after midnight for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, Wragg and Tonks were found dead.

Police asked the public for help in finding a vehicle-of-interest that same day. The vehicle — a grey 2005 Dodge Caravan — was found in Chilliwack on Wednesday, police say.
