SeaBus sailings set to increase as B.C. moves through Phase 3 of COVID-19 recovery

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — TransLink is planning to increase SeaBus service as of Monday in an effort to meet demand while preserving physical distancing.
Starting Monday, sailings will depart every 15 minutes instead of every 30 during peak hours.

Translink says the move comes as B.C. moves further into Phase 3 of its economic recovery from COVID-19, and as locals look for ways to pass the summer months without leaving the province.
The transit authority notes ridership is still down 25 per cent when compared to this time last year, but trips have tripled since the height of the pandemic in early April.
