Body found near bush fire at Surrey-Langley border deemed suspicious: RCMP

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — A body was found after a bush fire near the border of Langley and Surrey Wednesday.
Fire crews responded to a call about a fire in a wooded area near 46A Avenue and 196A Street around 11 a.m. Once the fire was put out, a body was found.

It’s not clear how the person died, so the death is being investigated as suspicious, according to Surrey RCMP.
Evidence is currently being gathered, and the identity of the person has not been released.
