Suspended Richmond RCMP officer charged with voyeurism, sexual assault in Ottawa

OTTAWA (NEWS 1130) — A suspended Richmond RCMP officer has been charged with more than 30 sex-related counts in Ottawa.

Andrew Seangio was charged Wednesday with 34 counts of voyeurism and three counts of sexual assault involving six women known to him.

He was previously suspended and charged by Vancouver police in March in a separate investigation.

The 35-year-old man turned himself into Vancouver police Thursday.

The Ottawa offences occurred between 2011 and 2018. Seangio was living in the City of Ottawa at the time some of the offences occurred, according to a release from police there.

The latter investigation was initiated when the Vancouver Police Department contacted the Ottawa department in January.

Ottawa investigators believe there may be further victims and is asking any women who were present in Seangio’s residence between October 2015 and October 2017 to contact them.
