Man injured in Delta drive-by shooting

DELTA (NEWS 1130) — One man was injured in a drive-by shooting in North Delta just after midnight Friday and police are looking for witnesses.

Police say they were called to a home at 12:20 a.m. where they found a man with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

“He was transported to hospital and has since been released,” reads a release from the Delta Police Department.

“The initial investigation was able to quickly establish the incident was a drive-by shooting. Officers believe this was a targeted incident and they are now looking into the circumstances and appealing to the public for witnesses and dashcam video.”

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area between 80th Avenue and 75A Ave, and 118th to 116th Streets to contact them. Information can be called in to Delta Police at (604) 946-4411, and anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
