VICTORIA (NEWS 1130) — Anyone in the Victoria area is asked to keep an eye out for a ball python police say went missing near a popular trail.
Police say they have been looking for the creature since 11:30 a.m. after it was reported missing near the Galloping Goose Trail. Apparently the snake had gone missing July 2, but was only reported to police Tuesday.

The snake is described as four feet and five inches in length.
Ball pythons are non-venomous.
People who see the python are asked to call 9-1-1, or if they have information call the Victoria Police non-emergency line at 250-995-7654.
