COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130 ) — Searchers aren’t returning to Eagle Mountain on Thursday to look for a missing hiker, but have been making headway, according to Coquitlam RCMP.
But Coquitlam Search and Rescue said crews are taking the day to speak with RCMP in an effort to figure out what to do next.
Ali Naderi hasn’t been seen since Sunday afternoon.

An image of the 52-year-old man was captured by a camera on a trail showing him wearing a light jacket, shorts and hiking boots.
But there was no sign of a backpack with extra gear, food or water in case something went wrong, although Naderi was described as an experienced hiker.
Searchers said he is known to hike alone in that area almost daily. However, a concerned citizen called police after observing that Naderi’s vehicle had been parked many hours longer than usual.
RCMP Cpl. Michael McLaughlin said previously that tips about Naderi have been pouring in, and it has helped officers narrow their search.
Police are not getting into specifics, but admit they have a better sense of where Naderi went.
