Vancouver wants feedback on ‘slow streets’ through online survey

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Since spring, signs and barriers have been up around town, instructing drivers that certain streets are intended for local cars only, and now the City of Vancouver wants to know what people think of the “slow streets” strategy.
The city is asking Vancouverites to provide feedback on the approach through an online survey.

The city put up the signs and barriers in April to reduce car traffic on certain streets to free up more space for those riding their bikes or walking around.

It was part of Vancouver’s pandemic response, making it easier for people to get out and exercise.
The city plans to use feedback from residents and businesses and make adjustments to locations this fall.
