PORT COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130) — Child pornography charges have been approved against a man and woman stemming from an investigation involving RCMP in Coquitlam and Maple Ridge.

Coquitlam RCMP has been investigating Amber Lea Davies and Carl Douglas Henning since December, Cpl. Michael McLaughlin said Wednesday.

He said Davies, from Port Coquitlam, has been charged with: arranging or agreeing to commit a sexual offense against a child; making or republishing child pornography; distributing child pornography; and possessing child pornography.

Henning is from Maple Ridge and has been charged with four counts, including making child pornography, distributing child pornography, arranging by telecommunication to commit a sexual offence with a person under the age of 16, and possessing child pornography.

No other information can be released because the names of victims and witnesses are protected by a publication ban, but police do not believe there’s a broader risk to anyone else.

Editor’s note: This story has been updated to reflect the correct charges against Carl Douglas Henning.
