VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – As students, teachers and parents across B.C. settle into the most unusual school year anyone can remember, many people have sounded the alarm about potential COVID-19 outbreaks at schools.

Potential exposures have been identified by public health officials.

North Vancouver

  • Blueridge Elementary: Potential exposure to COVID-19 Oct. 5 to 9.
  • Carson Graham Secondary: Potential exposure to COVID-19 Oct. 27 to 29 and Nov. 2 through 6.
  • Cove Cliff: Potential exposure to COVID-19 on Nov. 16.
  • Handsworth Secondary: Potential exposure on Oct. 13 and 14. A new exposure alert was issued for Oct. 20. New exposure alert issued for Nov. 16.

  • École des Navigateurs in Richmond: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Sept. 14.
  • Garden City Elementary School: Potential exposure on Nov. 16.
  • H.J. Cambie Secondary: Exposure dates: Oct. 13 though 16 and 19, as well as Nov. 2 through 6.
  • Kathleen McNeely Elementary: COVID-19 alert sent to families on Nov. 2 but did not list a potential exposure date.
  • Kingswood Elementary School in Richmond: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Oct. 5 6 and Oct. 27 through Nov. 2. New exposure notice issued for Nov. 10.
  • Matthew McNair: Potential exposure to COVID-19 on Nov 12 and 16.
  • Mitchell Elementary: Potential exposure to COVID-19 on Nov. 2. New notice issued for Nov. 12 and 13.
  • Pythagoras Academy: Possible exposure to COVID-19 on Oct. 13, 14.
  • Richmond Secondary School:There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Oct. 7, 8 and 9 and Nov. 2, 3, 9 and 10.
  • Spul’u’Kwuks Elementary School: Potential exposure to COVID-19 on Oct. 28.
  • Walter Lee Elementary: A notice was sent to parents on Oct. 28 but did not specify when the potential exposure occurred.

  • Garibaldi Highlands Elementary in Squamish: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Sept. 24, 25, 29, 20 and Oct. 1.
  • Howe Sound Secondary School in Squamish: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Sept. 21 through 25. A second exposure notice issued on Nov. 17 did not list potential date(s) of exposure.
  • Mamquam Elementary School in Squamish: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Sept. 11, 16 and 17.
  • Don Ross Middle: Potential COVID-19 exposure on Nov. 2.

Vancouver

  • Admiral Seymour Elementary School: Potential COVID-19 exposure Oct. 5 and 6. A second notice of exposure was sent on Oct. 28 but did not specify when the potential exposure occurred.
  • Aries Program: Potential COVID-19 exposure happened on Sept. 17, 18, 22, 24 and 28. The notification was made on Oct. 2.
  • Beaver Creek: Possible exposure on Oct. 13 and 19.
  • Britannia Secondary: Potential exposure to COVID-19 on Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, 5, 16, 21 and 22.
  • Cedar Walk Program in Vancouver: Someone with COVID-19 was at Cedar Walk Sept. 14, 15, 17, and 21. The alert was posted Oct. 1.
  • Champlain Heights Elementary School: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Sept. 22 through 24.
  • Charles Dickens Elementary: Potential COVID-19 exposure happened on Oct. 2.
  • Collingwood School — Morven Campus: Possible exposure on Oct. 5 and 6.
  • Cunningham Elementary School: On Sept. 26, Vancouver Coastal Health issued an exposure warning. Dates when the affected person was in the school are not listed.
  • École Anne Hebert Elementary: Possible exposure to COVID-19 on Oct. 15 and 16.
  • Elsie Roy Elementary School: Someone with COIVD-19 was at Elsie Roy Elementary School Sept. 22 to 24.
  • Gladstone Secondary School: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Sept. 16, 17, 18, 21 and 22.
  • Hastings Elementary: On Sept. 20, the school sent a letter to parents informing them that “a member of our school community has tested positive for COVID-19” without specifying when the individual had been at the school. Anyone who needs to self isolate will be contacted by public health officials, the letter said.
  • Ideal Mini School: Possible exposure to COVID-19 on Oct. 16.
  • John Henderson Elementary: A letter to parents sent on Oct. 20 said there had been a COVID-19 exposure on Oct. 13.
  • John Oliver Secondary: Possible exposure on Oct. 9. New exposure notice issued for Nov. 9 and 10.
  • Killarney Secondary: Potential exposure(s) to COVID-19 on Oct. 29 and 30 and Nov. 2, 3, 4, 12, and 13.
  • King David High School: Potential exposure to COVID-19 on Nov. 16.
  • Kitsilano Secondary: Potential exposure to COVID-19 on Nov. 16 and 17.
  • Laura Secord Elementary: On Sept. 2, Laura Secord Elementary principal Laurent Brisebois wrote to parents: “I am writing to let you know that we have been made aware that a member of our school community has tested positive for COVID-19 … “It is important that you know that Vancouver Coastal Health has been in direct contact with any individuals who they have determined need to be informed.”
  • Lord Kitchener Elementary School: Possible COVID-19 exposure on Oct. 5, 7 and 26 through 30.
  • Lord Strathcona elementary: Potential exposure Oct. 30.
  • Lord Tennyson Elementary: Potential COVID-19 exposure happened on Sept. 29 and 30, Oct. 19-28.
  • Notre Dame Regional Secondary School: Potential Exposure dates: Sept. 29 and Nov. 9 and 10.
  • Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School: A letter to parents sent on Oct. 25 said there had been a COVID-19 exposure at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School. It did not specify when the individual was at the school.
  • Point Grey Secondary: Potential exposure on Oct. 16.
  • Prince of Wales Mini School: Potential COVID-19 exposure happened on Oct. 1, 2, 5.
  • Queen Alexandra Elementary: Potential exposure(s) on Oct. 26 to 30.
  • Renfrew Elementary:  COVID-19 alert sent to families on Nov. 2. Potential exposures Oct. 27-28.
  • Sir Charles Tupper Secondary School: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Oct. 1, 2, 7, 9 and Nov. 2.

  • York House: On Sept. 23, the private York House School announced there had been potential exposure to the coronavirus on its campus. It did not specify which date or dates someone with COVID-19 had been at the school.
  • R.C. Palmer Secondary: Potential exposure on Oct. 22.
  • Sexsmith Community Pre-School: Potential COVID-19 exposure on Oct. 29 and Nov. 2.
  • Walter Moberly Elementary: Potential exposure on Nov. 12 and 13.
  • Lord Roberts Elementary: A Nov. 16 notice did not specify dates of potential exposure.

  • Caulfeild Elementary School in West Vancouver: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Sept. 16 through 18 and Sept. 21 through 24.
  • Collingwood School: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, 2, and 6. There was also an exposure alert for Oct. 7. New exposure alert issued for Nov. 16.
  • Hollyburn Elementary School: There was potential COVID-19 exposure on Oct. 2.
  • Mulgrave School: Possible exposure from Oct. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
  • Pauline Johnson Elementary (École Pauline Johnson Elementary School): There was a potential exposure to COVID-19 on Oct. 14 and 15. A Nov. 15 notice did not specify dates of potential exposure.
  • Ridgeview Elementary School: According to the school, there were possible COVID-19 exposures on Oct. 2, 5, and 9.
  • Rockridge Secondary in West Vancouver: On Sept. 23 and 24, someone with COIVD-19 attended Rockridge Secondary. The notification was posted Sept. 29. Another alert was issued on Oct. 13 but the dates of potential exposure haven’t been released yet.
  • Sentinel Secondary: There was potential COVID-19 at Sentinel Secondary on Sept. 15, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 21.
  • West Vancouver Secondary: New exposure alert issued on Nov. 1 for potential exposure dates: Oct. 26 to 28.
  • Crescent Park Elementary: Potential exposure on Oct. 28 though 30, Nov. 5, 9 and 10.
  • R.C. Palmer Secondary: Potential exposure on Oct. 22.
  • Irwin Park Elementary: Potential exposure on Nov. 9, 10 and 12.

Fraser Health

Abbotsford

  • Abbotsford Christian Middle & Secondary: Exposure on Nov. 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10. Fraser Health said the school would go into isolation until Nov. 23.

  • Mundy Elementary: Possible exposure to COVID-19 on Oct. 6. Second and third exposure notices were issued on Oct. 29 and Nov. 5 but didn’t specify the potential exposure dates.
  • Nestor Elementary: Potential exposure on Nov. 5, 6, 9 and 10.
  • Port Moody Secondary: Fraser Health says a person with COVID-19 was at the school on Oct. 13. A second exposure happened on Nov. 12.
  • Roy Stibbs Elementary: Potential exposure on Nov. 9.
  • Seaview Elementary: On Oct. 2, someone with COVID-19 was at Seaview Elementary, according to Fraser Health. The health authority said anyone who may have been in direct contact with the carrier will be contacted.

  • École De L’Anse-Au-Sable in Kelowna: An outbreak was declared after three people tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, about 160 people in the school’s community have been instructed to self-isolate. Prior to that possible exposure were reported on Oct. 13, 14, and 15.
  • Kelowna Secondary School: Potential COVID-19 exposure on Oct. 19 through 21. Another exposure issued for Oct. 28 to 30.
  • JA Laird Elementary School: There was a potential COVID-19 exposure on Sept. 14 and 15.
  • Okanagan Mission Secondary: Potential exposure to COVID-19 on Oct. 28, 29, 30.
  • Rossland Summit: There was a potential exposure to COVID-19 on Sept. 16.
