Recently, VCH has faced criticism for not update its exposure alerts online

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — After facing some backlash for how it updates its school exposures, Vancouver Coastal Health has added four more schools to its COVID-19 exposure list. 

Overall, the region has updated six school exposures.


Richmond’s L’École des Navigateurs, Squamish’s Mamquam Elementary, Pemberton’s Signal Hill Elementary, Vancouver’s Xpey’ Elementary, as well as West Vancouver’s Caulfeild Elementary and Sentinel Secondary have all been posted as of Friday afternoon.


Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said the day before the health region is doing what it should be when it comes to exposure alerts.

VCH’s Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Patricia Daly has also reassured that those who need to know about exposures are being informed, even if it isn’t online.

In comparison, the Fraser Health health region has been praised by parents for its frequent updating of school exposure alerts.
