38-year-old Vancouver man dies in Highway 1 crash

A 38-year-old man in West Vancouver has died in a single car crash on Highway 1 Sunday night

West Vancouver Police were called to the area of Highway 1 and 21st Street at around 12:45 a.m.

It's still not clear what caused the crash but road conditions and speed may have been factors

WEST VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A 38-year-old man from Vancouver has been killed in an overnight crash on Highway 1.

The incident happened at around 12:45 Sunday morning in the area of Highway 1 and 21st Street in West Vancouver.

Police arrived at the scene to find the driver with fatal injuries in the single-vehicle crash.

“Once on scene, officers located the vehicle, a 2019 Maclaren, and determined that the driver, and sole occupant, had suffered fatal injuries,” a release from the West Vancouver Police reads.

It’s not clear what caused the crash but speed and road conditions may have been a factor.

For about six hours Highway 1 Westbound was closed to traffic.
