74-year-old woman dies in Vancouver after being hit by car

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A 74-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car in West Point Grey Monday afternoon.
The Vancouver Police Department says the woman was walking at the intersection of West 10th Avenue and Sasamat Street around 5 p.m.
“She was struck by a vehicle making a turn. The woman was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead,” reads a press release.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

Police are asking witnesses and those with dashcam footage to contact them at 604-717-3012.
The intersection was closed by police for an investiagtion.
The woman is the sixth pedestrian to die in the city this year after being struck by a vehicle.
