Burnaby motorcyclist caught with fake, paper licence plate — again

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — A person in Burnaby has had their motorcycle seized, been slapped with nearly $1,000 worth of fines, and could be facing criminal charges after being caught riding a motorcycle with a fake, paper licence plate for the second time.
Burnaby RCMP first took to Twitter in August after an officer conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle.

$983 worth of fines were written.

During their investigation, they found the licence plate was actually a photograph printed on paper.
The motorcyclist was handed fines worth $983.
“This is quite possibly the most expensive paper plate of all time,” the tweet from August 18 reads.
Mounties posted online again Thursday, tweeting, “Same person, another fake paper licence plate!”

Both the bike and the plate were seized, and Mounties say charges are pending.
