CLEAR: Crash involving motorcycle closes Lougheed Highway Eastbound in Maple Ridge

MAPLE RIDGE (NEWS 1130) — In Maple Ridge, a collision involving a motorcycle just East of the intersection of Lougheed Highway at 240th St. sent a man to hospital.

The collision is the second serious crash this week involving a motorcycle in the eastern part of Metro Vancouver.

The RCMP explains the motorcyclist slammed into the median barrier on the Lougheed Highway near 240th street Tuesday evening.

RCMP says the man was taken to hospital with “very serious injuries.”

Traffic in the area is now clear.

Tuesday night’s collision comes on the heels of another crash on Highway 1 in Langley near 200th St, which took place on Monday.

The driver of that motorcycle died of his injuries the RCMP reported Tuesday afternoon.
