VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — The leaders of B.C.’s three main political parties are spending this long weekend on the campaign trail following some billion-dollar promises this week.

The NDP will have candidates in Vancouver for an education announcement, starting at 10:00 a.m..

The BC Liberals meanwhile are taking their campaign to Richmond for a health care announcement at 1:30 p.m.

There’s no word yet on what the Greens have planned, but leader Sonia Furstenau recently tabled an economic plan which aims for carbon neutrality by 2045.

The New Democrats and Liberals have both promised a second hospital for Surrey, and different versions of a $10 per-day child-care plan.

The first and only leaders debate is this coming Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
