VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Police are turning to the public for help to identify a suspect who robbed a woman at gunpoint in Yaletown earlier this month.
Investigators say on Oct. 9 just after 1 a.m. a man followed a woman from the Roundhouse SkyTrain station and approached her near Mainland and Helmcken streets.
He pointed a gun at her and demanded she hands over her purse.
“This type of violence is unacceptable,” says Const. Tania Visintin. “A young lady was robbed at gunpoint. We believe this was a random attack and that is extremely concerning.”
Police have released security footage from the Roundhouse Skytrain station hoping that someone recognizes the man.
