Car fire at Vancouver City Hall creates thick plume of smoke

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Firefighters were called to Vancouver City Hall late Saturday afternoon and found a car engulfed in flames.
Thick, black smoke was seen billowing from the area, with some social media posts suggesting it could be seen as far as False Creek.

Some callers to NEWS 1130 believed it was an explosion.

The fire has since been extinguished and there are no reports of injuries.
