VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Four people were arrested last week after Vancouver police officers seized multiple items related to identity theft and fraud.
Officers executed the search warrant on Wednesday at a home near Howe and Davie streets after reports of break-ins and thefts in Yaletown.
“Since Aug. 1, there have been nine police documented files of mail theft, break-and-enter or suspicious circumstances relating to frauds in the downtown core,” Const. Tania Visintin says in a release.

Officers say they found evidence related to mail theft from multiple buildings in Yaletown and arrested four people.
Among the items seized were fake firearms licenses, social insurance cards, B.C. driver’s licenses, passports, and money, along with airsoft, pellet and imitation handguns and rifle, and a flare gun.
Charges related to identity theft, fraud, theft of mail, and possession of a firearm are being recommended to Crown counsel.
