Surrey man charged with sexual interference: RCMP

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — A man has been charged with sexual interference following two separate investigations in Surrey and Abbotsford.

While police aren’t providing many details, they say both investigations led to the same suspect, 32-year-old Thomas Dawson Peacock from Surrey.

Mounties in Surrey first started investigating in July of this year after receiving a report of an incident that happened sometime between June 2011 and June 2016.

A few weeks later on Aug. 15, the Abbotsford Police Department launched its own investigation after officers received a report of an incident that happened the same day.

Peacock was charged this week with three counts of sexual interference but released with conditions, according to a release from Surrey RCMP.

His conditions state Peacock must not be alone with anyone under 16 years of age, or go to any park, swimming area, community centre, or theatre where anyone under that age is present. He must not go to any daycare centre, school grounds, or playground, and he is not allowed to possess any weapons.

Police say if anyone sees him breaching his conditions, call 911.

Investigators believe there are more people who know something about these incidents or possibly others. They urge anyone with information to come forward to their local police departments.

In Surrey, call the RCMP at 604-599-0502, or the Abbotsford Police Department can be reached at 604-859-5225.
