SURREY (NEWS 1130) — New COVID-19 outbreaks have been declared at a number of long-term care homes in the Fraser Health region.
Fraser Health says a resident in long-term care at Chartwell Langley Gardens, a resident at Peace Portal Seniors Village in Surrey, and a staff member at the Harrison at Elim Village in Surrey have all tested positive for the virus.
“Fraser Health has declared outbreaks at these locations, and a rapid response team is at each site,” a release from Fraser Health reads. “Communication with residents and families is underway. The two residents and one staff member are currently in self-isolation at their homes.”
Fraser Health is now working to identify anyone else that may have been exposed.
