Man dies after car crashes into Vancouver storefront

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — One man has died after the car he was driving crashed into a storefront in Vancouver Friday night.
According to the Vancouver Police Department, the car “mounted the west side of the curb and crashed into a storefront” on Granville Street near West 13 Avenue around 8:30 p.m.
“The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital and is in serious, but stable condition,” according to a statement.

Witnesses or those with dashcam footage is asked to call VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
The crash resulted in a road closure between West 12 and West 16 Avenue.
