Two children, 10 and 12 years old, have been identified as suspects.
The 12-year-old was arrested and the Ministry of Children and Family Development is now involved in the case, Mounties say.
“This was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the public or students at the school,” reads the release.
“This investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time.”
The principal has sent a letter to parents, advising them that students will need to move to online learning while repairs are done, which could take the rest of the week.
