Surrey’s Bear Creek train not operating this Christmas due to rising COVID-19 cases

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — COVID-19 has claimed another popular event — this time Surrey’s Bear Creek Christmas train.

In a Facebook post, the train operators said they were sad to announce the train will be closed this year, but they felt the decision was in the public’s best interest.

“Even though Fraser Health regulations permit us to operate, we feel it’s safer for the public to remain closed during this time,” the post reads.

The Fraser Health region has been a hot spot during this COVID pandemic.
