Vancouver private school exposed to COVID-19 temporarily shutting doors

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Another Lower Mainland school is closing because of COVID-19 exposures.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, a Catholic elementary school in the West Point Grey neighbourhood of Vancouver, will be closed for the remainder of the year.

Students will still have classes, but all instruction will be online for the next couple of weeks.

The school says it made the decision after three cases of the virus cropped up in one class.

It says resulting staffing shortages have made it difficult to continue delivering in-person classes until Dec. 18.
