Unmarked Vancouver Police car crashes into civilian vehicle

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A Vancouver Police cruiser crashed into a civilian car Thursday evening.
The collision happened at the intersection of Broadway and Burrard Street.

”Earlier this evening, officers in a unmarked police car were driving with lights and sirens to a domestic assault in progress. While en route, a collision occurred between a police vehicle and a civilian vehicle,” VPD media relations officer Cst. Tania Visintin told NEWS 1130 in a statement.

“Everyone involved was taken to hospital for assessment. Thankfully, any injuries sustained are non life threatening,” Visintin added.
The intersection was closed for a time while crews cleared the intersection.
