Police in Abbotsford released video of a hit and run that damaged NINE Kitchen and Louge restaurant's patio

Footage from a nearby business shows a 'dark sport-style car' skidding into the patio Saturday

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) — If the pandemic wasn’t enough to deal with, the owners of an Abbotsford restaurant came into work Sunday morning to find their patio had been smashed after a hit and run the night before.

The Abbottsford Police Department released a video taken from a nearby business Saturday night, showing a car skidding down Montrose Avenue, sliding across the parking lot, over the sidewalk, and into the NINE Kitchen and Louge restaurant patio area before speeding off.

Police say the vehicle is a “dark sport-style car” that has front-end damage.

“Businesses that have been able to remain open continue to struggle under COVID-19 restrictions, incidents as this add just one more challenge to these already trying times,” Sgt. Judy Bird writes in a release.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 604-859-5225 or test APD to 222973.
