BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — Burnaby Mounties are renewing their call for help identifying a man after he hit a 14-year-old girl with his car.

The girl was hurt after she was struck while walking to school at the Cumberland Street and 16th Avenue intersection on Nov. 23 around 7:15 a.m.

At the time, the man got out of his car and approached the girl before leaving without providing any of his information or reporting the collision.

RCMP released footage of the man and his car last month, but police still haven’t figured out who he is.

“If you recognize the man or the vehicle in this video, please contact the police,” says Cpl. Mike Kalanj. “If you are the man in the above video, please come forward and speak to our investigators.”

Anyone who recognizes the man or the vehicle in the video is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
