King tide closes part of Stanley Park Seawall, other waterfront walkways

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A section of the popular Seawall in Stanley Park is closed due high water levels brought on by a king tide.

The closure is between the Lions Gate Bridge and Third Beach.

After high winds overnight, the Vancouver Park Board is also advising the public to avoid paths along the shore between Spanish Banks and Vanier Park, and between Vanier Park and Stanley Park.

Meanwhile, the Jericho Pier has been closed to allow crews the opportunity to inspect and clear the area of debris.
