Man shot in Langley suffers critical injuries

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) – A man shot in Langley has been taken to the hospital with critical injuries, the RCMP says.

Mounties received reports of a shooting in an underground parking lot in the area of 201-A Street and 56th Avenue just after midnight Monday.

That’s where they found the man who had been shot multiple times.

“Very little information was obtained from the victim, a 27-year-old Langley man, prior to being taken to surgery,” the RCMP says.

The man is known to police and the shooting appears to have been targeted, investigators note. It’s unclear at this time if the shooting is linked to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict.

The condo complex where the man was found was behind police tape for much of the morning Monday.

The RCMP is looking to speak with anyone who may have information about what happened.
