VICTORIA (NEWS 1130) — A man, who allegedly punched a restaurant staffer and bit a customer, was arrested by police in Victoria Tuesday night.
Police say a man, who they believe was on drugs, walked into the restaurant on Yates Street without wearing a mask. He then punched the staff member in the face when he was asked to put one on.
Staff and customers restrained the man until police arrived. It was at that time the suspect bit a customer. The person who was bit suffered minor injuries.

The man was arrested by police and held “until he was no longer intoxicated.” He was then released on conditions.
The file remains under investigation.
