POINT ROBERTS (NEWS 1130) – What could be the first COVID-19 case in Point Roberts has been identified.

While Whatcom County Health Department confirmed the case, no other information could be provided to protect the person’s identity.

 

It is believed to be the first infection in the U.S. town of about 1,300 residents, which has been mostly isolated during the pandemic.

Point Roberts is built on a peninsula that juts out of southern B.C. and into the United States, and it is only accessible by going through Tsawwassen.
