VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Vancouver General Hospital after five patients and two workers tested positive.

One inpatient unit in the Jim Pattison Pavilion has been closed to new admissions, transfers, and visitors, according to Vancouver Coastal Health. The unit is T10C.

“Vancouver General Hospital remains open and is prepared to safely receive and care for all individuals who require urgent and emergent care. Please do not delay in seeking care as this could exacerbate your condition,” a statement says.

Staff and patients are being monitored, and enhanced cleaning is being done.
