VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Hours of negotiation led to the Vancouver Police breaking down a door in the area of Granville Street and West 70th Avenue early Sunday morning.
According to VPD, they had been called by North Vancouver RCMP, asking to locate a man who was wanted on four outstanding warrants.
When they arrived at his door, the suspect reportedly refused to open up and made threats about using a shotgun.
After four hours of failed negotiations, the police broke down his door and used a bean bag gun to take him into custody.
Charges of threats have been recommended in addition to his four warrants.
