NEW WESTMINSTER (NEWS 1130) — A man who was out on bail after being charged with two counts of sexual assault three months ago has been arrested and charged again for exposing himself to two women in New Westminster.

Police received a report of a man who had exposed himself to a woman on Monday afternoon near 1st Street and St. Patrick Street.

“Responding members obtained a description of the male, and within the hour a suspect was located and taken in custody after a short foot pursuit. The investigation also determined the male had exposed himself to another female in the area of 4th street and 4th avenue,” reads a release from the New Westminster Police Department.

Eugene Sung, 39, was charged with two counts of committing an indecent act, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.

Court records show Sung was charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference on Dec. 5, 2020.

Police say those charges stem from a “groping incident.”

His next court appearance is April 14, 2021.
