Mechanical issues lead to BC Ferries delays between Tsawwassen, Duke Point

NANAIMO (NEWS 1130) – Lingering mechanical issues are to blame for some BC Ferries delays on sailings between Tsawwassen and Duke Point this week.
Problems on the Queen of New Westminster forced a series on cancellations on Friday. As a result, from Tuesday to Friday this week, four round-trip sailings between Tsawwassen and Nanaimo will be cancelled as well.

An issue on the Spirit of Vancouver Island also impacted some sailings between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay Monday.

British Columbians are still urged to avoid all non-essential travel. For those who need to take ferries, the company is reminding customers to check the BC Ferries website for sailing schedules ahead of time.
