LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) — A charity in Langley is out more than $30,000 worth of tools and equipment after it was targeted by thieves over the weekend.
Nadia Brigden is the manager for the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, which helps provide housing for low-income individuals.
However, she says the $30,000 loss is just an estimate.
Adding, there are several additional costs associated.
“It’s so frustrating. It’s not just the theft and it’s not just losing all that material and product, but also the time and effort that it’s taking to getting the door repaired the cost of repairing the door … we have to update our security system.”
The store was also robbed in December.
She says police have been notified.
