PENTICTON (NEWS 1130) — The president and CEO of the White Spot restaurant chain is calling the actions of a franchise holder who dumped feces outside a homeless shelter in Penticton — “disgraceful.”
Staff at Compass House witnessed the vandalism Tuesday morning and filmed Al Mansfield tossing the waste on the sidewalk.
Mansfield has since apologized saying he “simply snapped” after finding human excrement near the restaurant.
“We acknowledge the extreme severity of this situation and will be conducting a thorough investigation into this matter,” a statement from the CEO Warren Erhart reads.
Mansfield has been asked to take a step back from day-to-day operations until an investigation determines “an appropriate course of action.”
Erhart adds the actions of this franchise holder “in no way represent the values of” the popular chain based in Vancouver.
