Man exposes himself to girls at Victoria-area elementary school

VICTORIA (NEWS 1130) – RCMP are looking for a man who is believed to have exposed himself to two girls on the grounds of an elementary school in the Victoria area last week.

RCMP say it happened shortly after class let out for the day at View Royal Elementary School on Monday, April 12.

A man reportedly entered the school grounds at around 3:15 p.m. and exposed his privates to the five-year-old and 11-year-old girls as they played on the field.

The girls ran away and told a school staff member what happened.

The man was described as white with short dark hair, clean shaven, and wearing blue jeans. He is believed to be between 30-40 years old and may have been wearing a two-tone jacket with black in the middle area.

RCMP say officers and police dogs searched the area but weren’t able to find anyone matching that description.

“This is the kind of incident that garners a visceral response from both the public and the officers responding to the call,” said Cst. Meighan Massey with the West Shore RCMP. “We are conducting a thorough and methodical investigation into the incident. Kudos to the two girls who kept their wits about them, got themselves to the school monitor and reported right away.”

Anyone with information is asked to call West Shore RCMP at (250) 474-2264, or Crime Stoppers.
