DELTA (NEWS 1130) – Delta is the latest municipality in Metro Vancouver to allow people to drink alcohol in public in some of its city parks.
As of June 1, you can down a beer or sip some wine at Diefenbaker Park in Tsawwassen, Memorial Park in Ladner, and North Delta Community Park as part of a pilot project.
Signage will be going up soon. Some areas of those parks will be off-limits to drinking, like near playgrounds.
