WHISTLER (NEW 1130) — Daily COVID-19 cases are down significantly in Whistler compared to recent weeks according to Vancouver Coastal Health.
A week-long vaccination program for everyone who works or lives in the community seems to be working.
VCH recorded 17 new cases this week, down from 72 last week.
Whistler started their local vaccination program on April 12 and it continues for any eligible people who want to get the jab.

As of April 29, 17,100 vaccines were administered to eligible people in Whistler and VCH is encouraging everyone in the area to register through the online booking system.
Vaccines sure did their job in Whistler. VCH says last week (the same week they ran a vaccination clinic in the community) there were 72 new cases.
