Abbotsford police looking for suspect in Peardonville sexual assault

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) — A woman is recovering after being sexually assaulted in Abbotsford last week.
Police say she was out for a walk early Friday (April 30) morning, in the area of Peardonville Road and Livingstone Avenue when she met the suspect, who she did not know.
After a short conversation, the two walked to the northeast area of the Peardonville overpass where the assault happened, between midnight and 1 a.m.
The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit is currently in the preliminary stage of the investigation.

Police described the suspect as a 5’8″ man, who police say may be Indigenous. He is believed to be in his late 20s to early 40s with long dark hair, small dark eyes, dark thick eyebrows, and a thin moustache.
The suspect was last seen wearing a white jacket with a red stripe down the arms, dark pants, running shoes, and a backpack.
Police are asking anyone who might have been in the area last Friday, or who may have dashcam footage, to call the Major Crime Unit at 604-859-5225.
