COVID-19 vaccine eligibility expanded in 8 Vancouver neighbourhoods

People 30 and older living in “high transmission neighbourhoods” in Vancouver are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the health authority.

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — People 30 and older living in “high transmission neighbourhoods” in Vancouver are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the health authority.

An announcement from Vancouver Coastal Health Thursday expanded the eligibility for residents of eight neighbourhoods.

The neighbourhoods are:

      • Cedar Cottage
      • Grandview Woodland
      • Hastings Sunrise
      • Kensington
      • Killarney
      • Renfrew-Collingwood
      • Sunset
      • Victoria Fraserview

Anyone born in 1991 or earlier can register online or over the phone. Eligibility will be determined by postal code.

A clinic will be opened up at Killarney Community Centre in order to accommodate these appointments. It will run from May 8 to May 28.
