Man seriously hurt in North Shore mountain bike crash

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A man who was found unconscious on a North Shore trail has what are being described as traumatic injuries after a mountain bike crash.

North Shore Rescue says the 73-year-old man was found on a trail near the Cleveland Dam in the Seymour River Valley Wednesday afternoon.

What exactly led to the crash is still unclear.

NSR says he was found by a good Samaritan, who called for help.

“A team was training in the area and able to get on scene quickly,” the search and rescue team wrote on Facebook.

NSR says members were able to get the man to a helicopter, which then transferred him to paramedics at Inter River Park.
